PLUS a photo of you (full length)... preferably wearing said item but if that's not possible, in close fitting  outfit like leggings and a form-fitting tee.

I'm 5 feet 6 (or 168cm) and I want to wear these burgundy satin trousers for an evening event (and maybe even during the day?!) but they never look right! My belly sticks out and I feel self conscious and frumpy. Any ideas to try?
