Today I'm wearing a mixed checked pattern dress with my leopard boots and I'm loving the clash!
Cold days call for a burst of cheer and a bold outfit can be a great way to do that.
It's so easy to simply pop on your own sunshine.
Or, in this case, a riot of pattern and colour... grounded with some comforting black.
The wind was BITTER and I had to grit my teeth a little to get these photographs taken!
Brrrrr...
I love the asymmetry of this dress with it's flowing panel and unusual top half.
It has a pretty tie back that will look fab in summer.
It's FAR from summer temperatures now so I had to wear my long cobalt coat over this outfit... you can see it styled with a silver maxi skirt and trainers HERE and with hot pink HERE.
BAG: Topshop (old)
BOOTS: Miss KG (old)
Thermal TIGHTS: Gipsy
THERMAL BASELAYER: Uniqlo

I love this dress in too many ways to elaborate. (Colors, patterns, length, trailing ruffle, ......) Love the entire outfit. Very chic with a 1920s/1930s vibe.
ReplyDeleteI love that trailing ruffle too Kathleen!! XXX
DeleteLove the dress but not too sure about the boots. A bit too much of a contrast for me but you can pull it off. Love - Jill stylishatsixty

My daughter agrees with you Jill! Hahahahaha
DeleteNo white inside of the cloth :-D some companies know how to produce their materials. Love how it is flapping in the wind
ReplyDeleteYES!!!! XXX
DeleteIt's not my favourite outfit.
ReplyDeleteFair enough Mireille! XXX
DeleteWow, what an unusual piece! I like that the fabric is not white-backed (like Joze) - that's a sign of better quality, for sure. I would totally wear this dress, but I'm kind of iffy on the leopard boots with it. Maybe it's one of those things that you have to see a bit until your eyes get used to it. Anyway, you wear it with elan, and you look amazing!
ReplyDeleteMy youngest agrees with you Sheila! "Too much mum...too much!" ....Hahahahaha. I just ignored her and clashed anyway (especially when you add my cobalt coat!! :OP) XXX
DeleteLove this whole outfit! Personally I think the leopard boots really make it. Striking, sassy and fun!
ReplyDeleteThank you SO much Rozanne!

DeleteLove the mixed, modern, tartans in the dress and it's got a great flowy factor. Your hair shades replicate the colors in those boots for a nice bookends effect!
