Wearable Neon and Animal Print | The Fab40s

Burgundy Jumpsuit, Neon Pink, Leopard Boots | Fake Fabulous
Neon and animal print are going to be BIG fashion news this season, and wearing them together scores you double the fashion points... maybe even more!

Animal print and (especially) Neon can feel a little full-on, and they are certainly NOT for the fainthearted when paired together!

Wearing neon and animal print together looks great on the perfect people of Instagram, or in a glossy magazine, but what about real life?
Can you really pair neon and animal print without looking like you're taking part in a dance show?

(Any mums of dancers will know what I mean!)

So, today I'm wearing a splash of both neon and leopard in a wearable look.
A nod to the trend without being too "In Yer Face!!"

A soft neon pink top and my old burgundy jumpsuit (which is coming to the end of its happy life 😔) is a colour match made in heaven!

I wanted to do a bit more bold clashing but kept things subtle for my first attempt at mixing these two trends.
It's a tricky combination, for sure!

To tell you the truth I loved this outfit so much that I feel inspired to bring you more Neon outfits ASAP!
(Maybe a bit more punchy and bold next time?)
So watch this space if you're feeling the vibe too.

    1. I'm sad about it too Monica... it's starting to look shabby and because it's not a piece that gets better with age :o(
I'll be sad to say goodbye.

  3. Blimey I didn't realise it before Samantha but I LOVE neon pink and burgundy together! And make it the funkiest jumpsuit ever (is it not dungarees...?) and you've got yourself a winner of an outfit. One of your best outfits ever - and that's some feat considering I love just about all of them!!!!

  4. I love this outfit - the pink + burgundy is a great combination (I have done it myself too), and I adore the unexpected BAM that the leopard gives it. Why is the jumpsuit near the end of its life? :(

    1. Thank you so much Sheila!
The jumpsuit is looking a bit scabby and starting to lose its shape. The fabric is getting saggy and it's looking a bit worn out.
A few more wears and I'll need to say goodbye :o(

  5. You have such a knack for the "subtle nod" to a trend that you really aren't ready to fully embrace. I think that happens when were reluctant to jump in with both feet.
Do you think revisiting a trend from the past gives those of us who were here for round one, a leg up on how to style it more intelligently? creatively? unpredictably? HA!HA! Can't wait for your next neon moment Sam!

I was into neon the first time and wore fluro-tastic ravers outfits... hahahahaha.... AND cycling shorts :oP
