Today I'm styling a loose and comfortable jumpsuit, not for any reason other than I've put on a few pounds during my break last week.
{Read about why HERE}
Piling on a handful of pounds makes me feel pretty good.
{See more about weight fluctuations and goals HERE and my attitude to food HERE}
I love having a bit more flesh on my body, but the downside is that my normal clothes don't fit so well.
Time for some serious fabric stretch!!
{You can read more about 'hiding' a couple of extra pounds HERE,
and why I'll never photoshop my image HERE... even though you can spit peas through the fabric of this jumpsuit!}
I'm slopping about without looking too sloppy by adding a couple of details and a layer.
This jumpsuit is perfect for layering.
As long as the under-layers are smooth and the top layers are long enough to skim.
I'm not wearing under-layers today (apart from a culotte slip) but I've teamed it with a linen biker-style waistcoat to give my extra pounds somewhere to hang out!
A pale grey bag, silver slip-on loafers and some layered necklaces finish things off nicely.
How are you feeling this week?
Are you in a 'loose and comfortable' mood or sharp and focused!?
I'd love to hear all about it!
JUMPSUIT: Bershka... similar.
SHOES: c/o Vionic
BELT: Asos
NECKLACES: old
BAG: old... try this
WAISTCOAT: Charity shopped... try this one!

Looking relaxed and happy, I guess you had a good break :) Loose and comfortable for me here in HOT weather on the Black Sea! Lise
ReplyDeleteI just looked up the weather in your neck of the woods Lise and it looks like loos all the way!!
DeleteRoasty toasty for sure!
I'm in my garden typing this in shorts, flip flops and a tiny tube top... I'm not leaving home today and no one will be subjected to this outfit hahahahaha.

You look so pretty today! Like super refreshed or something. Glad to see your time off agrees with you!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Bettye... you are very generous!
DeleteI really enjoyed being unplugged and was not even tempted to 'check' any media.
Although the emails I came back to were groan-worthy and I did to a lot more deleting rather than polite-no replying.
Thankfully I have an auto-response that does that for me(ish).
It's great o be back though!

You look fabulous, Sam! I'm pretty much always in loose and comfy fabrics when I'm home – I just have to be comfy lol! And if I'm out, the first thing I do when I get home is to whip off my bra!!
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great week.

Hahahahaha... me too Suzy!
DeleteI hate having to wear a 'real bra' in warm weather... sweaty and digging in all day.
Whip that off ASAP!
I much prefer a cropped top (I'm wearing one here).
They do nothing for shape/uplift and cleavage BUT I don't care enough to change! :oP
