Welcome back to The fab 40s.
The fab 40s become villainous!
After last month's princess-like behaviour, this month things got a little more mischievous.Veronica has chosen 'Villains' as this month's theme.
These themes are supposed to be fun, but I also need a real outfit.
How can we be inspired by a villain without resorting to raiding the dressing up box?
The arch enemy of the (frankly sexy) Wolverine.
So, here I am giving it some 'fierce attitude' with my mini Wolverine!
{Not as sexy as the bigger version, but SO much more handsome. 🐶}
He spots his enemy, circles, then moves in for the kill.... death by licking.
I surrender!
The main focus of this look (for me) was the green tunic and these vinyl leggings.
The leggings are simple but make enough of a statement... much more interesting than plain cotton leggings.
Layers were essential, as it has turned colder again, so I piled on a couple of under-tops.
{The viper likes to shed her skin, so I could remove layers if things heated up 😒. Hmmm.... they didn't (brrrr).}
Normally I like to talk about each of the outfits worn by my fellow bloggers, but not this month.
I wanted you to have fun trying to guess who inspired their inner villains!Pop over to the blogs (links are in the headings) to find out the full story.

Sheela from Sheela Writes.
Sheela's villain was my (close) second choice... the flaming hair is a big giveaway for me.Ann from Kremb de la Kremb
Ann's villain makes me laugh everytime.

Jennie from A pocketful of polka dots
Jennie's real life villain was a tragic tale, and certainly not as chic and glamorous as this (film inspired) look!
Diane from Fashion on the fourth floor
Veronica's villain is beautiful, fabulous and super-powerful!

I loved your look this month, Sam. The vinyl leggings are perfect, as well as the silver shoes. I am intrigued by your long green tunic with its split hemline. Did it come that way? It makes a serious statement with your brilliant layers!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jennie.
DeleteYes, it came with the open panels...the back is split too so it's not much of a cover-up!
Just enough to add a little something though :OP

This is the coolest thing EVER!! I love the idea of dressing like a villain!! Your outfit is gorgeous, I'd definitely wear that. Actually, I'd wear all of these outfits. They're all awesome. I'm going to have a look in my wardrobe now and see if I can find a villainous outfit ;)

I know that most people don't like to admit to their villainous side... but we are all a mixture of good and bad, aren't we?
DeleteIt was fun to imagine me on a evil rampage... battling my arch enemy :oP.
Maybe it's good for us to tap into our evil sides once in a while!

I think out of all "the villain's" yours and Jennie's are my favorite looks from this month's challenge. You wear layers like no one's business Sam. Fabulous, sexy and confident head to toe!
