Almost everything comes in a leopard print version.... from Hair clips to Wellingtons!
But...
Lets be honest here, even the classiest of leopard print still has an air of tackiness about it.
It's bold, brash and unapologetic!
For me, that's part of the charm.
The potential naffness just adds to the appeal.
Leopard print is hard to resist, and it is definitely LOTS of fun to wear.

However, leopard print is NOT for wall flowers.
Fortunately, if you are a bit of a wallflower but want to 'fake' some confidence (and fabulousness) then leopard print is the way to go.
Wear leopard, and people assume you are self assured.
Team it with red and you can take on the world.....and Win!
Easy Ways to Wear leopard

Nothing is as classic (or subtle) as a leopard print belt.
It adds a fun touch, without taking things too far.
Avoid the cheap plastic belts and treat yourself to a good quality one.
You don't need to spend a fortune.
I got mine for a few pounds on eBay... and it's hairy!

Wearing a leopard print hat is a little bit more of a statement, but still quite relaxed.
A soft beret is fun to wear as well as being comfortable... plus it hides a bad hair day!

If you really love the look of leopard why not go all-out and make it the main part of your outfit?

I never used to wear leopard print in any shape or form -thought it looked too Bet Lynch. But I've come round to a touch of leopard in accessories so I have a hat with a leopard print band and a bag. I've also seen a great pair of leopard print ankle boots.

Especially when teamed with a spot of leather Jodie! :oP XXX
DeleteI think it's really interesting that leopard has it's own stigma. We all seem to feel that there's an "over the top" essence in this particular print. Although maybe that's somewhat true of all animal prints?
ReplyDeleteAnyway this print has been clearly been quite vogue for a number of years now so maybe it's finally the end of the leopard print bigotry.
You do a remarkable job of mixing and maxing the potential of leather. Whether you simply accessorize with one or two pieces or wear a statement leopard print dress, you really wear it well Samantha!!
I've had a reversible coat (leopard/brown) for at least 8 years and this is the first year I've worn the leopard side up!! Thankyou for contributing to my style evolution Sam!
"Leopard side up" all the way Judy!
DeleteIf we can't be a little over-the-top now, when can we?
Have fun with your leopard coat... :oD XXX

DeleteHi. I have a vintage 60s faux leopard coat that comes out when I want to make a statement. I love it, so does my 8 year old daughter - apparently i'm saving it for her. Where did you get the leopard face bag my girl would love it?
ReplyDeleteThat coat sounds gorgeous and your girls is right to have her eye on it! (My girls do the same).
DeleteMy middle girl won this bag at a dog show she took my friend's dog around the ring and won a tonne of prizes.
Have a look on ebay (or similar) they pop up from time to time. Search for japanese animal face bags... there are loads of cute ones!
